Ferris State Men Punch Ticket to GLIAC Tournament Final

BIG RAPIDS – The second-ranked Ferris State men’s basketball program will go for its fourth straight GLIAC tournament championship following an 85-66 win over Ashland in a tournament semifinal on Saturday.

Winners of consecutive GLIAC regular season championships, the Bulldogs (31-1) held a 40-30 lead at the half en route to their 19th straight win.

Noah King paced three Bulldogs in double figures with a game-high 24 points. Charlevoix native and GLIAC Player of the Year Zach Hankins tallied 21 points, five rebounds and five blocks, while Drew Cushingberry recorded 15 points.

Ben Haraway led the Eagles (20-9) with 14 points.

Ferris State will face Lake Superior State at 3 p.m. Sunday
