Ferris State pulls away from Ohio Dominican in D2 Quarterfinal

BIG RAPIDS – After a tightly-contested first half, the Ferris State Men’s Basketball team pulled away in the second half to earn a 75-57 victory over former GLIAC rival Ohio Dominican in a Division Two Regional Quarterfinal game at Wink Arena.

Ferris State had a balanced attack, with four players scoring in double figures.  Charlevoix alum Zach Hankins led the Bulldogs with 16 points, while Drew Cushingberry added 14, Markese Mayfield chipped in 12, and Noah King contributed 10.

The Bulldogs outscored the Panthers 45-28 in the second half, and were a perfect 18-for-18 on their free throw shots in the game.

Ferris State now advances to face league rival Lake Superior State for the fourth time this season in the Regional Semifinal at Wink Arena on Sunday night at 7:30.
