Lake Superior State bests Hillsdale in Regional Quarterfinal

BIG RAPIDS – The Lake Superior State Lakers got 42 points off of their bench, as they knocked off Hillsdale in a Division Two Regional Quarterfinal game at Ferris State’s Wink Arena on Saturday night.

With the win, the fourth-seeded Lakers will take on the top-seeded Bulldogs of Ferris State on Sunday at 7:30.

Carson Manger came off of the bench to lead the Lakers with 17 points.  Akaemji Williams and Malek Adams had 16 apiece for Lake Superior State.  The Lakers’ bench outscored the Chargers’ bench 42-13.

The Lakers raced out to a 43-29 lead at the half, and maintained that margin throughout the second half.

Hillsdale was led in scoring by the duo of Nick Czarnowski, and Stedman Lowry, who each tallied 16 points.
