Coaches’ Profile: Mt. Pleasant’s Ted McIntyre

MT. PLEASANT – With Ted McIntyre at the coaching helm, the Mt. Pleasant softball program has long established itself as one of the best in mid-Michigan and the state.

Since taking the head coaching reins in 1975, McIntyre has produced a hall of fame career, ranking sixth all time in the record book with a 1,043-380 win-loss record. McIntyre added on to that win total a year ago by leading Mt. Pleasant to a 33-4 campaign.

The Oilers won the 1993 Class A state title under McIntyre and finished runner-up at the 2010 Division 2 state finals.

McIntyre is the subject of our latest MISportsNow Coaches’ Profile.
