TC United Rolls Over Petoskey in Inaugural Game

TRAVERSE CITY – The Traverse City United lacrosse program opened its inaugural season in grand fashion Thursday with a 16-4 win over Petoskey at Thirlby Field.

A co-op of Traverse City West and Traverse City Central, United took a 4-0 lead to the second quarter on goals from Ranger Trucco, Came Case, Landon Case and Brent Walters. Traverse City extended its lead to 9-1 by the half and led 13-2 through three quarters.

Thursday’s contest was also Petoskey’s first as an MHSAA sponsored program after 13 years at the club level.

United is scheduled to host Sault Ste. Marie at 6:30 p.m. Friday, while Petoskey is set to travel to Mattawan on Saturday.
