Tri County’s Bice Signs with CMU

HOWARD CITY – Tri County senior Julia Bice signed her National Letter of Intent with the Central Michigan women’s golf program on Monday.

Bice becomes one of just a handful of athletes from Tri County to earn an NCAA Division I scholarship.

“If you would’ve asked me my eighth grade or freshman year, I would’ve said that oh, I’m going to play softball in college or whatever.  But, definitely being a college athlete now, it’s a really cool experience, and I’m excited to see what the future has in store.  I think it’s going to be good to be D1.  It might open up the eyes to other people that hey, opportunity is out there, you just have to go chase it.”

Bice says she’s interested in studying musical education at CMU.
