Inland Lakes Baseball Looks for Third Straight District Title

INDIAN RIVER — Inland Lakes baseball is looking to win districts for the third consecutive season.

In 2017, the Bulldogs shut out Pellston 4-0 to win the Division 4 District Championship.

Though they’ve graduated some players, the Bulldogs have five seniors on the 2018 squad.

Four of those seniors have been starting since their freshman year.

“Everybody’s been enthusiastic about the season. Everybody’s putting in hard work to achieve our goals that we want to achieve,” says Inland Lakes Senior Ian Clancy.

Head Coach Josh Vieau says, “It’s all about heart. They get the heart going and want to be here. We can do a lot of things. It’s all about competing and having heart.”

Inland Lakes plays a double-header at Gaylord St. Mary Tuesday.

The Bulldogs will face Burt Lake Northern Michigan Christian at home in Game One of Districts Saturday, June 2nd.
