Kalkaska Falls at Home to Grayling
KALKASKA – The Grayling baseball team posted an 8-3 Lake Michigan Conference win over Kalkaska on Thursday.
The nightcap was called due to darkness with the game tied at 5-5.
Thursday’s game was the first for Kalkaska (2-5, 1-2) on its newly-renovated field.
“I would say thank you from the bottom of our hearts,” Kalkaska senior Trevor Koon said. “We couldn’t do this without our amazing community. It’s really the biggest thing. Our community is our heart, and we couldn’t do it without anyone. We’ve never actually played on a field this nice. So, it’s awesome. The community rallied to build this field for us, so it’s just a great thing.”
Grayling (10-0-1, 3-0-1) hosts a tournament on Saturday.
