Petoskey’s Paquette Heading To Harvard

PETOSKEY – A week and a half ago, Petoskey senior David Paquette received a phone call that changed his life.

He found out he was off the wait-list at Harvard and had the chance to go to one of the most prestigious universities to play soccer.

However, he was already set to attend the University of Michigan in the fall and play on the club soccer team, but the decision to go to the Ivy Leagues was an easy one for the goal keeper.

“The last week and a half has been a blur. I’m just trying to soak it all in at this point. And it just feels fantastic for a lack of being cliche here, to be able to do something that I have considered my dream,” said Paquette.

He is undecided on his major right now, but is considering economics or computer science.
