Thirteen Athletes Sign at TC Central
TRAVERSE CITY – A baker’s dozen of Traverse City Central student-athletes signed letters of intent on Wednesday to continue athletic endeavors at the collegiate level this fall.
Twin brothers Landon and Cameron Case are headed to the University of Detroit Mercy and will join the school’s men’s lacrosse program. The two are some of the first varsity lacrosse players in northern Michigan to play for an NCAA Division I program.
It’s going to be great,” Landon Case said. “I played with him (Cameron) ever since I started, we’ve been together forever, so it’s going to be fun.”
“That means everything,” added Cameron Case. “I mean, it’s all about growing the sport in northern Michigan, and this is a big part of it.”
Hailey Williams is taking her talents to Davenport University and its American Collegiate Hockey Association women’s hockey program.
“It does mean a lot to me to go off and get to play with all these really great girls that I’ve met, and really just continue with playing the sport that I love,” Williams said.
