Harbor Springs Edges Boyne City in OT

GRAYLING – The Harbor Springs girls soccer team won a Division 3 district championship with a 2-1 overtime victory over Lake Michigan Conference rival Boyne City on Friday.

Madi Bezilla gave the Rams a 1-0 lead at the half as Harbor Springs avenged a pair of regular-season losses in the win.

The Rams maintained their 1-0 lead until late in the second half when Boyne City’s Inanna Hauger knotted the game at 1-1.

Madeline McShannock found the back of the net with 1:30 remaining in overtime for the winner.

Boyne City ends their season at 18-3-2.

Harbor Springs will now face the winner of the Ludington district at Clare at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
