Rogers City Moves Past Rudyard, Returns to East Lansing

PETOSKEY – The top-ranked Rogers City softball team is back in the Division 4 state semifinals for the first time since 2014.

Winners of the 2014 state title, the Hurons recorded a 7-5 win over Rudyard in a quarterfinal at Petoskey on Tuesday.

Rogers City grabbed a 6-0 lead after two innings.

Rudyard (29-8) was coming off its first regional championship in school history.

Rogers City will now face Coleman at 3 p.m. Friday at Michigan State.
