Ferris State Football Picked 2nd in GLIAC Preseason Poll

Ferris State was selected to finish second in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference’s preseason football poll, which the conference released Tuesday.

Grand Valley State is the conference’s preseason favorite with 61 points and six first-place votes, while Ferris State received 56 points and two first-place votes. Ashland is third with 54 points and one first-place vote.

The Bulldogs enter the fall on the heels of consecutive NCAA Division II national quarterfinal appearances. Ferris State went 11-2 a year ago, finishing second in the GLIAC with an 8-1 record.
