Lions Youth Camp Makes Last Stop in Northern Michigan at Lake City

LAKE CITY – The Detroit Lions Youth Fundamental Football Camp has been making its rounds across the state.

Earlier this summer, they made stops in Traverse City, Petoskey, and Gaylord, and for their last stop in northern Michigan, they are in Lake City.

“Camp’s been great. It’s our second day here at Lake City. We’re focusing on our offensive side of the football. We’ve got 115 kids here, our biggest camp of the entire summer. It’s pretty neat to see in a small community like Lake City, the interest and the excitement in and around the game of football,” said Lions’ Director of Football Education, Chris Fritzsching.

The camp was open to girls and boys from ages 6-14 and everyday they get to learn new skills, drills, and lessons.

The camp runs through July 8.
