Northern Michigan’s Coaching Legends: Dave Hall

MISportsNow is sitting down with some of the game’s best and sharing their stories for “Northern Michigan’s Coaching Legends.” This marks the second in the series.

KINGSLEY – Among the winningest active coaches in the state, Dave Hall has headed up Kingsley’s volleyball program since taking over for Ron Stremlow in 1999.

A former football coach, Hall quickly had the Stags placed among the state’s best, leading Kingsley to a MHSAA Class C state runner-up finish in 2004.

Hall’s team posted 56 wins in 2016, tying the 2004 squad that reached the Class C state finals, and became the first program at Kingsley to win a Class B district championship.

Through the years, Hall has amassed an 873-213-85 overall record, leading the Stags to a 52-5-1 finish in 2017 and a No. 5 ranking in the final Michigan Interscholastic Volleyball Coaches Association Class B state poll.
