Ferris State Football Moves Up to Sixth Nationally
BIG RAPIDS – On the heels of a 59-13 win over No. 19 Findlay, Ferris State jumped three spots to sixth in the latest American Football Coaches Association Division II Coaches’ Poll.
Defending national champion Texas A&M Commerce remains the top-ranked team in the country, while Grand Valley State sits in fifth place after handing Delta St. (Miss.) a 21-10 loss last Saturday.
The Bulldogs (2-0) are currently ranked second nationally in yards per game (597), are tied for third in points per game (54.0) and are fourth in rushing with 328 yards per contest.
Ferris State opens its Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference season at Northwood (0-2) at 1 p.m. Saturday. The Bulldogs won last year’s meeting 24-14.
