Ferris State Football Ranked 3rd Nationally
BIG RAPIDS – Following a 28-21 homecoming win over defending Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference champion Ashland on Saturday, Ferris State moved up one spot to third nationally in the latest American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Division II poll.
Minnesota State (5-0) remains the top-ranked team, while fellow GLIAC foe and rival Grand Valley State sits in second.
The Bulldogs (5-0, 3-0) are ranked first in the nation in team passing efficiency (185.10), third in first downs (133), fourth in total offense (546.6 yards per game) and in scoring (44.8 points per game).
Ferris State will face Michigan Tech in the “Battle at the Ballpark” at Fifth Third Ballpark in Comstock Park Saturday at 2 p.m.
