Lions Trade WR Tate to Eagles for Third-Round Pick
The Detroit Lions traded wide receiver Golden Tate to the Philadelphia Eagles on Tuesday for a third-round selection in the 2019 NFL Draft.
Tate joined the Lions in 2014 as an unrestricted free agent after being drafted in the second round by the Seattle Seahawks in 2010 out of Notre Dame. The 30-year-old and Super Bowl 48 winner recorded 416 receptions for 4,741 yards and 22 touchdowns in 71 games with Detroit.
Tate was in the final year of a five-year contract.
