Mesick to Host Bear Lake in Pink Out Game

MESICK – With only two weeks left in the high school football regular season, Mesick is preparing to host its first Pink Out game.

The Bulldogs (3-4, 3-2) welcome in West Michigan D League foe Bear Lake (2-5, 2-3) in a game that will benefit the Munson Cancer Center.

The idea of Friday’s Pink Out game came from several Bulldog players who approached coach Josh Crocker with the desire to host a game and raise money for a local charity.

Money raised from the game and t-shirt sales will be donated to the Munson Cancer Center.

“Overall, I think it should be a really good game, and with the cause that we’re working towards, the fact that, you know, both schools came together and they’re working towards helping us sell t-shirts and raise money as well,” Crocker said. “I think we’re all kind of working towards the same goal and so regardless of how the game works out, we’re just excited about the things we’re doing together this week.”

Friday’s game kicks off at 7 p.m.
