Leland Hoping To Win First State Championship

LELAND – The Leland boys soccer team has been on a mission since the beginning of the season.

The Comets are 23-1-2, and out their 26 games, 16 of them have been shutouts.

They also have only allowed two goals during the postseason.

“I know we’re going to state finals for the first time in school history and it means so much to us to be part of it. It’s amazing, it’s so fun and it shows the work we’ve put in throughout the season,” said Colin Satterwhite, one of the Comets’ captains.

Leland faces defending state champion, Ann Arbor Greenhills on Saturday at noon at Comstock Park High School for the Division 4 state championship.
