Humitz Leads No. 18 LSSU Past Bemidji State

SAULT STE. MARIE – Max Humitz scored twice in the second period and No. 18 Lake Superior State skated to a 5-2 win over visiting Bemidji State on Friday.

After a scoreless opening period, the Lakers (16-7-2, 11-6-2-0 WCHA) took a 3-1 lead to the final period.

Brendan McKay, Collin Saccoman and Yuki Miura all scored for LSSU.

Nick Kossoff improved to 12-3-2 in net for the Lakers, turning away 32 shots.

The two teams close out their series Saturday at 7 p.m.
