Chippewa Hills Wrestling Bows Out in Division Three Semifinal

KALAMAZOO – For the second straight year, the Chippewa Hills wrestling team saw their season come to an end at the hands of Richmond.

The Blue Devils defeated the Warriors 42-21 in a Division 3 semifinal on Saturday.

“We knew that everything was going to have to go our way for that to happen and we had a lot of things that didn’t go our way. Even when the duel was mathematically over and we couldn’t win, they still did a good job of being there for each other,” said Chippewa Hills head coach Kevin Edwards.

Two Warrior wrestlers that are slated to wrestle at next weekend’s individual state finals suffered injuries during the match and Coach Edwards said he hopes they will be healthy in time for next weekend.
