Ferris State Women Fall to No. 11 Ashland

BIG RAPIDS – Ferris State dropped its second straight GLIAC contest with a 91-79 loss to No. 11 Ashland on Thursday.

Alexis Bush paced the Bulldogs (11-9, 8-6) with 22 points and seven assists while Riley Blair tallied 16 points.

Shaniya Huggins posted a double-double with 13 points and 10 assists for the Bulldogs while Kingsley graduate Jalynn Brumfield scored 11 points.

The Bulldogs trailed 19-17 after the opening quarter and 43-35 at the half.

Jodi Johnson led all scorers with a game-high 30 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists for the Eagles (20-2, 12-2).

Ferris State hosts Wayne State Saturday at 1 p.m.
