Ferris State’s Devon Johnson Invited to NFL Combine
BIG RAPIDS – Ferris State senior left tackle Devon Johnson has been invited to the 2019 NFL Combine, becoming the second player in program history and first in 28 years to receive an invitation.
A four-year starter, Johnson, who was named the 2018 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Offensive Lineman of the Year and was a three-time All-GLIAC honoree, made 51 consecutive starts and twice garnered All-American status. Johnson was honored with All-America accolades by the Associated Press, American Football Coaches Association, D2Football.com and the Division II Conference Commissioners Association.
Johnson is the first Bulldog invited to the combine since offensive tackle Paul Cochran in 1991. He recently competed in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif., in January and was one of a few non-NCAA Division I players to earn a roster for the game.
The NFL Combine is set for Tuesday, Feb. 26-Monday, March 4 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
