Reed City Hosts Historic Signing Day

REED CITY – It was a historic day for Reed City as six senior football players announced their college commitments on Wednesday.

Jackson Price (Colgate), Phillip Jones-Price (Albion), Michael Johnson (Concordia-Ann Arbor), Brandon Major (Olivet), Anthony Pelton (Grand Valley State) and Mason Bush (Alma) are all taking their football careers to the next level.

“It’s pretty crazy. I think this is probably the most ever in Reed City history,” Jones-Price said. “Me and my teammates, we’re really excited, I’m proud of them, I love these guys. It’s been a pleasure playing with them my whole life so it’s pretty cool seeing them all go their own ways and been great growing up with them and playing with them.”

Major plans to study criminal justice at Olivet.

“Growing up with these guys and playing with them, forever it’s pretty nice,” he said. “Knowing that we’re going on to play and some of us are going to play each other.”
