TC West’s Crofoot Signs with Grand Valley State

TRAVERSE CITY – Traverse City West senior Kara Crofoot signed her National Letter of Intent with Grand Valley State’s women’s cross country and track and field programs on Wednesday.

Crofoot joins a GVSU program that has won six NCAA Division II cross country national championships, including the 2018 title, and a pair of indoor and outdoor national championships.

“I think what did it for me was I’ve gone to most of the Grand Valley cross country camps so when I went to do the overnight visit I just felt comfortable there,” Crofoot said. I’ve been used to that and I think that’s what really helped me decide. Being there with the girls was the experience enough for me.”

Crofoot plans to study occupational therapy at GVSU.
