CMU Men Accept College Basketball Invitational Bid

MT. PLEASANT – For the fourth time in five years, the Central Michigan men’s basketball program will be appearing in the postseason.

The Chippewas (23-11) accepted a bid in the 16-team Roman College Basketball Invitational and will face DePaul (15-15) in Chicago at 8 p.m. Wednesday in the first round. The winner will then take on either Longwood or Southern Miss in the quarterfinals on Monday, March 25.

This marks CMU’s first appearance in the CBI, which began in 2008. The Chippewas advanced to the quarterfinals of the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament in 2018.

DePaul is 2-0 all-time against CMU, with the last meeting coming in 2010.
