Petoskey’s Historic Campaign Ends in Quarterfinals

GAYLORD – Petoskey’s historic season on the ice came to an end Tuesday with a 4-1 loss to Marquette in a Division 2 state quarterfinal at Gaylord.

The Northmen (18-9-1) trailed 2-0 after the opening period and 3-1 after two.

Kyle Hebner scored Petoskey’s lone goal.

Petoskey established a new program record this winter with 18 wins and won its first-ever regional championship last Friday with a victory over Muskegon Mona Shores.
