Bellaire’s Rosiek, Fischer Continuing Academic And Athletic Careers

BELLAIRE – Two standout Eagle athletes committed to playing at the next level on Thursday to their respective colleges.

Sophie Rosiek will be playing volleyball for Hope College in the fall, while her classmate Keagan Fischer is heading to Alpena Community College for basketball.

“I’m always in the gym,” said Fischer. “So, it’s just really awesome and special to me. And it really hits home that I’m able to go from a small school, and still further my career into something that I love so much.”

“I’ve always liked being an influence to others, and inspiring others to get better, and so I think by getting to play at Hope, and gaining more experience and learning more will help me become a coach later in the future,” added Rosiek. “But, I’m just really excited to learn.”

Fischer is looking to pursue a degree in the medical field, while Rosiek is thinking of going for communications.
