CMU Softball Adds A Victory On Senior Day

MOUNT PLEASANT – Seven seniors were honored at Margo Jonker Stadium on Saturday at the last home game for the Central Michigan softball team.

The group of players that played their last home game of their career were Erika Underwood, Rachel Vieira, Kayla Noch, Allison Curtis, Sara Hansen, Andrea Perlberg and Kaila Fulker.

They took on Ball State in the last game of their three game series.

The Cardinals got the bats moving first, scoring one run in the first. However, the Chippewas hit a hot streak in the second bringing around seven runs.

Ball State did make a push to come back, but CMU kept them at bay, winning 10-8.

The Chippewas move to 20-24-1 overall and 10-7-1 in conference. They’re back in action at Toledo on May 3 and 4.
