Gaylord St. Mary Baseball Looks to Continue Recent Success

GAYLORD – The Gaylord St. Mary baseball team wants to continue their momentum this season, after seeing great success in recent years.

The Snowbirds (13-4 overall, 9-1 conference) have been ranked in the top 10 of Division 4 all season long. They are currently 9th.

Gaylord St. Mary is coming off of three straight semifinal appearances and they could take that next step this year.

“We have got to be working harder, probably staying after practice a little more. We need to do one step at a time right now,” said Steven Koscielniak, a junior.

“You never know what is going to happen. Everything really has to come together. We are working hard, playing some good baseball teams and I think you get better by playing good competition,” added Matt Nowicki, the head coach.

The Snowbirds are playing in a tournament at Mt. Pleasant Sacred Heart over the weekend before playing Forest Area on Monday.
