Seattle Storm Waives Former CMU Star Guard Presley Hudson

Former Central Michigan guard and the school’s all-time leading scorer Presley Hudson was waived by the defending WNBA champion Seattle Storm on Wednesday.

An undrafted free agent following the 2019 WNBA Draft, Hudson attended the Storm’s training camp and appeared in a pair of preseason games. Hudson tallied 12 points on 4-of-8 shooting from 3-point range in 22 total minutes over those two games.

The 2016 Mid-American Conference Freshman of the Year, Hudson owns the program record for assists, Hudson holds the school record for career points with 2,309.

As a senior in 2018-19, Hudson averaged 20.4 points per game and led the Chippewas to their third straight MAC regular-season championship and second consecutive NCAA Division I tournament appearance.

A three-time All-MAC First Team selection, Hudson, a 5-foot-6 guard, was the second CMU player to receive a WNBA training camp invitation in May. Crystal Bradford, who stared at CMU from 2011-15, was invited to attend the Indiana Fever’s.
