TC United Rolls Past Southside in Postseason Opener

TRAVERSE CITY – The Traverse City United lacrosse team opened its stay in the postseason with a 21-3 win over the Muskegon Southside co-op team in a Division 1 pre-regional on Monday.

Matt Ochoa led Traverse City with eight goals and three assists while Tanner Daray, Jack Olson and Conrad Dobreff all had three goals apiece.

United (7-7) held a 7-1 lead after the opening quarter and increased its lead to 16-3 at the half.

The win is the first in postseason history for United’s varsity program.

United will now face Rockford (12-4) in a regional first round contest on Friday.
