Boyne City Ends Historic Season in State Semis

CEDAR SPRINGS – A historic season for the eighth-ranked Boyne City girls soccer team came to an end Tuesday with a 2-0 loss to fifth-ranked Grand Rapids South Christian in a Division 3 state semifinal at Cedar Springs.

Making their first-ever semifinal appearance, the Ramblers trailed 1-0 at the half.

After capturing the program’s first district and regional championships this spring, Boyne City concludes its 2019 campaign at 21-2-1.

South Christian will now face seventh-ranked Essexville Garber for the state title at 1 p.m. Friday at Michigan State.
