Jared Milarch Takes Over at Buckley

BUCKLEY – The Buckley varsity boys basketball program will be under the direction of its second head coach in two years for the 2019-20 season.

Jared Milarch replaces Marvin Jones, who went 9-12 in his lone season during the 2018-19 campaign. Milarch has spent the last five year’s with Buckley’s program, working with elementary school players and as a varsity assistant.

The Bears are just two years removed from reaching consecutive MHSAA Class D state title games.

“That group of kids in particular likes to work hard and we’ve had a great record in the past,” Milarch said. “I’m excited to see what they can do in the future, you know, you couple that with some great senior leadership, you know, our seniors have played at the Breslin Center, so we’ve been part of that right and excited to kind of keep that fire burning.”

Milarch and Buckley embark on their 2019-20 season in December.
