Lakeview Determined to Get Back to Playoffs

LAKEVIEW – After missing out on the postseason for the first in three years and second time in six years last fall, Lakeview is determined to get back to the playoffs in 2019.

At 4-5 last fall, the Wildcats suffered just their first losing campaign since 2011, with two of the losses coming by seven points or less.

“I feel like this group of guys, especially this group of seniors kind of has a chip on their shoulders. We got a lot of new guys, a lot of new talent, went and recruited the halls. We got a lot of guys that want to be a part of something special and they’ve been working really hard for it, so I’m excited to see what we can do.”

“I think one of the biggest things is the intensity and effort and effort in the offseason,” added Lakeview senior Luke O’Dell. “In the weight room and everything all around, we’re doing seems way more intense.”

Lakeview opens its season at Tri County on Thursday, Aug. 29. The Wildcats won last year’s meeting 28-8.
