Ogemaw Heights Grad Zettel Excited for Future with Cleveland Browns

BEREA, Ohio – After being released by the Detroit Lions last September, Ogemaw Heights graduate and defensive end Anthony Zettel found a new home with the Cleveland Browns.

A sixth-round selection out of Penn State in the 2016 NFL Draft, Zettel appeared in 15 games for Cleveland in 2018, tallying 14 tackles. Zettel has played in 44 games over three years, recording 70 combined tackles and 7.5 sacks.

With the Browns projected to have their best season in years, Zettel is excited for his future in Cleveland.

“Definitely the most stacked team I’ve been around,” Zettel said. “A lot of talent. A lot of good hard workers, so it’s like when you can combine hard working and talent, you’ve got a lot of special gifts with the team. I think if we take it day-by-day, we can go a long ways.”

The Browns host the Washington Redskins in their preseason opener at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
