KINROSS – One of the biggest pavement modified events in the country is taking over Kinross Speedpark this weekend as the 6th Annual Hot Shoe 100 makes its first appearance in the Upper Peninsula.

More than 120 cars are expected to be on hand including nearly 60 modified entries. Former NASCAR driver Kenny Wallace will be piloting one of the modified entries. ABC Stock Cars and 4 Cylinders round out the schedule.

Cars took to the track Thursday afternoon for practice.

Dashes and heat races are set for 7 p.m. Friday, with time trials taking place at 4:30 p.m. Saturday’s full night of feature racing kicks off at 6 p.m.
