CMU’s Buell Named MAC West Special Teams Player of the Week

MT. PLEASANT – Central Michigan sophomore punter and Traverse City St. Francis alum Brady Buell was named the Mid-American Conference West Division Special Teams Player of the Week on Monday.

Buell, who was appearing in his second career game, averaged 45.2 yards over nine punts for 407 yards in CMU’s 61-0 loss to Wisconsin last Saturday. Buell’s longest punt went for 50 yards and he had one punt downed inside the Wisconsin 20-yard line.

Buell and the Chippewas open MAC play at home against Akron on Saturday. Kickoff is 3 p.m.
