Red Wings Prospects Advance to NHL Prospect Tournament Title Game
TRAVERSE CITY – The Detroit Red Wings prospects advanced to their second straight NHL Prospect Tournament championship game with a 7-4 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Monday at Traverse City’s Centre Ice Arena.
The Red Wings will face the Dallas Stars for the tournament championship at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
Earlier in the day the Stars opened with a 5-3 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets while the New York Rangers skated to a 4-3 overtime win over the Minnesota Wild. The St. Louis Blues also downed the Chicago Blackhawks 4-2.
Tuesday’s final day of the tournament opens at noon with the seventh-place game between the Wild and Blackhawks at David’s Rink, with the fifth-place game between the Blues and Rangers following at 12:30 p.m. at West Rink. The third-place contest between the Blue Jackets and Maple Leafs is at 3:30 p.m. at David’s Rink.
