Red Wings Training Camp Wraps up at Centre Ice with Annual Red and White Game

TRAVERSE CITY – The Detroit Red Wings training camp at Centre Ice Arena came to a close Sunday with the annual Red and White game.

Andreas Athanasiou scored first for the red team before Oliwer Kaski knocked one in for the white team.

The game remained a 1-1 tie through regulation, giving fans the opportunity to see a shootout.

Frans Nielsen and Anthony Mantha both notched a goal to push the white team to the victory.

“I just want to be dangerous offensively,” said head coach Jeff Blashill, “I think anytime when you get to where you are one dimensional, you want to provide more than that.”

The Wings open up their preseason at home Tuesday, Sept. 17 against the Blackhawks.
