Ferris State Stays Unbeaten With Win Over Davenport
CALEDONIA – After their Saturday afternoon matchup, either Ferris State or Davenport was going to be walking away with a 5-0 record.
Ferris State was the one to do it.
The No. 2 ranked team in the country left no doubt winning the game 35 to 7 that they deserved the perfect record.
The Dawgs were dominant on both sides of the ball, keeping the Panthers to only 62 yards total and recording 317 rushing yards for themselves. Ferris State also recorded six sacks and forced two turnovers.
The Bulldogs were lead by two quarterbacks Saturday, senior Travis Russell and sophomore Evan Cummins, who had four touchdowns.
Ferris State moves to 5-0 on the season and 3-0 in the GLIAC. They travel to Wayne State next Saturday to take on the Warriors at 6 pm.
