Gladwin Youth Football Helps Player With Spina Bifida Score Touchdown
GLADWIN – Team sports, especially football, really bring people together. They also teach life lessons starting at a young age.
That was the case with the Gladwin youth football team at their last game of the season against Beal City.
One of the players on the Flying G’s is Cruz Hair, who has spina bifida and is in a wheelchair.
A special moment was made possible by both teams, where Hair got the handoff and was able to get into the endzone and score a touchdown for his team.
Hair is a huge football fan and is at every game watching and supporting his team.
The team also wore one yellow sock to bring awareness to the disease.
