Ludington Shuts Out Shelby for Another District Title

MANISTEE – Matthew Snyder scored the game-winning goal in the final 10 minutes of regulation as Ludington captured its sixth Division 3 district championship in seven years with a 1-0 win over Shelby on Wednesday.

Brayden Porter was credited with the assist on the Snyder goal as the Orioles (11-9-3) ended Shelby’s postseason run for the third consecutive year.

With the loss, Shelby concludes its season at 14-10-1.

Ludington will now face the winner of the Fremont district in a regional semifinal at Clare at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
