Ogemaw Heights Celebrates Return to Playoffs with Viewing Party

WEST BRANCH – Ogemaw Heights celebrated its return to the MHSAA high school football playoffs with a selection show viewing party at G’s Pizzeria and Deli in West Branch Sunday night.

After a six-year absence from the playoffs, the Falcons went 7-2 in 2019 under first-year head coach Chad Miller, bettering their 2018 win total by four wins.

The Falcons will host Midland Bullock Creek (6-3) in a Division 5 pre-district contest on Friday.

“We’ve had our eyes on Bullock Creek for probably about three weeks,” Miller said. “We kind of had a feeling we might run into them and they’re diverse offensively with some great talent and it’s going to be a tremendous challenge for us but we’re not afraid of challenges.”

Friday’s game is set to kick off at 7 p.m. The winner will face either Shepherd (5-4) or Freeland (7-2).
