Roscommon Tops Gladwin for NMSL Title

GLADWIN – Roscommon captured the Northern Michigan Soccer League championship with a 5-1 win over Gladwin on Monday.

Five Bucks recorded goals in the contest, as Ethan Flynn, Ethan Winegardner, Eric Farrington, Mikel Cuerda Bericochea and MacArthur Schultz all scored for Roscommon.

The Bucks (15-6-0) opened with a 4-1 lead by the half.

The Flying G’s were seeking their fifth straight NMSL championship.

Gladwin (17-2-2) opens a Division 3 district at home against Tawas on Wednesday, while Roscommon will play either Whittemore-Prescott or Fairview next Monday in a Division 4 district semifinal.
