Cadillac’s Abraham Apfel Inks with Virginia Tech

CADILLAC – Cadillac senior student-athlete Abraham Apfel signed his National Letter of Intent with Virginia Tech and its men’s swimming program on Wednesday.

An accomplished athlete and student, Apfel has been swimming for Club Wolverine out of Ann Arbor since his freshman year.

“It didn’t really hit me until maybe freshman or sophomore year of high school, then I thought that I had the capability to be able to continue it for another four years,” Apfel said. “I visited at couple of colleges, including like Purdue, but when I went to Virginia Tech I felt like the coaches and the team were really kinda just one family, and it was a great atmosphere.”

Apfel is considering studying engineering at Virginia Tech, with an eye on a chemical engineering degree.
