Sault Ste. Marie’s Innerebner Inks with Wisconsin-Milwaukee

SAULT STE. MARIE – Sault Ste. Marie multi-sport senior Andrew Innerebner recently signed his National Letter of Intent with University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and its men’s swimming and diving program.

A seven-time MHSAA Upper Peninsula finals open class champion, Innerebner won both the 100 and 200 freestyle titles as a junior this past winter and the 100 butterfly and 500 freestyle as a sophomore in 2018. He also won 100 and 200 freestyle championships as a freshman in 2017 and was part of the 400 free relay team that won in 2017. Innerebner also owns the U.P. finals record for the 100, 200 and 500 freestyle.

Innerebner also a member of the Sault Competitive Aquatics Team and the Northern Michigan Narwhals.

In addition to swimming, Innerebner also competes on Sault Ste. Marie’s football and soccer teams.

A member of the National Honor Society, he plans to study civil engineering.
