Traverse City West Hosts Fall Signing Day

TRAVERSE CITY – A trio of Traverse City West student-athletes signed their National Letters of Intent on Wednesday.

Soccer standout Jaelyn Dobrowolski is taking her talents to Central Michigan while teammate Maya Dean is headed to Ohio to attend Bowling Green. “I have such a big, huge love for the game, and imagining having this be the last season would just be devastating,” Dobrowolski said. “Knowing that I have the next four years to keep continuing playing is just awesome.”

“It’s always been a dream of mine to be a collegiate athlete, and I never knew where I was going to end up,” Dean said. “I am so glad that I will get to continue my soccer career the next four years at such a renowned place.”

Darby Drake signed with the University of Nebraska Omaha and its women’s swimming and diving program.

“I was almost positive that I wanted to go to Grand Valley, and then I went on my tour at Nebraska, and as soon as I got on campus, it was just like I was meant to be there,” Drake said.
