Ferris State Ends Season in DII Semifinal

BIG RAPIDS – One game stood between Ferris State and a back-to-back DII National Championship appearance, but that game was against West Florida.

The game was a battle from the beginning, being deadlocked at 7-7 at the half.

Right in the third quarter, Ferris State took their first lead of the game with a touchdown by Dion Earls, making it 14-7.

But once the fourth quarter came, the Argonauts started rolling, scoring 18 unanswered points to cruise to the 28-14 win over the Bulldogs.

Ferris State ends their season 12-1 overall, with the semifinal game being their only loss. West Florida moves on to the DII National Championship in McKinney, Texas and will face Minnesota State.
